Here we have a universal engine timing light with which you can easily set the ignition on the car.
With the help of an ignition cable and the car's own battery this is connected. Then you point it at the crankshaft/vibration damper of the car and hold the trigger for the light to flash. When the light flashes, it is usually visible on the vibration damper if the ignition timing is set correctly or if it needs to be adjusted. This is done with the car started and idling.
Tip!
If you drive a car that does not have ignition cables but, for example, VAG ignition coils, it is possible to cut a normal ignition cable, insert the cut end into the VAG ignition coil and then the other end into the spark plug, and you get the same function as if the car had ignition cables.
