You get more engine power by mounting the exhaust valve on a branch pipe that leads exhaust gases away from silencers / sharp bends and other things that create back pressure. In this way, back pressure in the exhaust system is reduced and enables more engine power.
You get more engine noise by disconnecting the silencers and routing the exhaust gas flow past them.
Control the exhaust damper using the supplied on or off switch. You can also connect a remote relay to control the exhaust valve with a remote control.
Connect to the ECU (aftermarket control system) if you want to be able to program when the exhaust valve should automatically open open and close depending on various parameters such as throttle position or boost pressure to name two examples.
Dual exhaust valves can be used if you have dual exhaust pipes. These can be controlled separately or connected to a switch, remote control or ECU.
Install the Hurricane exhaust valve on a branch between the engine and the part of the exhaust system that you want to disconnect. (See example image)
